Episode 48: The True Evil Is Here! Beware!

On the last episode of Dragon Ball F, Gohan and the others discovered a new threat on Planet Gogeta, Mother Nature itself, which by now killed many thousands of souls. However, even a greater threat exists, which our heroes will soon discover.
Our heroes arrived in the land of the "good" Saiyans. There, they were greeted with precaution, as the Saiyans immediately recognized that Gohan, Trunks and Pan were one of their kind and feared that they might have been sent by King Vegeta to either persuade them to reconsider and join him or cause trouble. Gohan immediately filled them in, so avoiding any unnecessary fight and calming their spirits. They too, claimed to see Goku and Bardock about a month ago and Kibitoshin soon after, which meant that whatever made them disappear like that was very close by, although none of them sensed anything unusual, no evil ki, no nothing. But just to be on the safer side, Gohan told Pan and Xevo to wait for him and Trunks in the village, until they go to investigate and come back. Pan and Xevo, of course, didn't want to be left behind, but in the end, they had no choice, then to agree. Almost two weeks have passed since they left, while Pan and Xevo started to be really worried.
-So...-Pan started towards a young local female Saiyan-Are you saying nothing unusual happened since you moved here?
-Well, as you probably might have seen, all sort of unusual things happen on this planet: giant animal attacks, violent storms...this planet is definitely challenging, danger is at your every footstep, and only the strongest survive, but nothing we couldn't handle, up until now. Of course, this shield generator provided by the Gods is most helpful.
-So no one ever before has gone missing like that, right?
-Well...yea Everyone who decided to start a new life and moved here, they're all here.-then suddenly Pan stood up.
-C'mon, Xevo! We need to go and find papa and Trunks!
-But if even they are in trouble, what can we do?-then both he and Pan looked at the female Saiyan.
-Don't look at me! We might be better than the other Saiyans ruled by King Vegeta, but not that good. Unless they are any concern to us, we MIGHT help you, but since they're not, tough luck getting anyone's help. We have our hands full, even as it is, with all the crazy stuff happening around us.
-Fine.-Pan responded nervously-Let's go, Xevo!
-I know I'm not gonna like this!-Xevo whined.
They both flew away from the village, leaving the local girl in thoughts. After a few days, they reached to a very dense forrest, filled with bushes so thick, that you could hardly see into the forrest, let alone enter it. Pan started sensing something out of the ordinary, so she and Xevo and no choice, then to land into the thick forrest and explore it by foot. They were spikes everywhere, which cut both Xevo and Pan numerous times, causing small bruises, but they barely seemed to notice them, while they were too scared of the upcoming danger. But little did they know, that they were already in danger since they got cut for the first time by the spikes, because they were filled with a very unusual poison, which caused realistic hallucinations and then sudden paralysis. Xevo was the first starting having hallucinations, while seeing the person, whom he always dreamed of meeting:
-Doctor Briefs!-he shouted.
-What?-Pan asked amazed.
-It's Mr. Briefs! He's here...and alive.
-Where?
-Can't you see? Right in front of us?-but Pan saw an entirely different person in front of them.
-Papa!-she shouted happily.
-Uhm...Where?-Xevo asked wondered.
-Right there.-then she started running up ahead, while Xevo felt that something wrong was happening to them.
-Pan, wait!-he yelled, but it was too late.
She was caught by a big, weird-looking tentacle, while she began screaming. After a few moments, more tentacles appeared out of nowhere, while Xevo just stood there, not knowing whether he was hallucinating again or was is all real. Pan immediately turned into SSJ1, and even managed to break free, but then she felt a sudden numbness on her entire body, while her strength was drifting away quickly. She somehow tried to fly away from the tentacles, but very soon, she returned to her normal Saiyan state, and her entire body paralyzed. She began falling, but the tentacles caught her and took her somewhere away, while Xevo was watching her hopelessly as his body paralyzed as well, and everything went black.
Five hours later, Xevo managed to wake up, but he could still hardly move his body. He then remembered, what had happened to him and Pan, as tears began filling his eyes. Many questions were flowing in his head, like: What would he do now? Go back to the village and try to ask for help, even though the Saiyans will probably refuse him? Stay and try finding Pan by himself? But what can he do without any super powers? And why didn't the tentacles attack him as well? Find out on the next exciting episode of Dragon Ball F!
