Dragon Ball Z Fan Film

Greetings once again Dragon Ball fans! Instead of posting a new DBF episode, I shall make an acquaintance to you with two brothers, who decided to make a short live-action DBZ fan film. But before that, I shall tell you my opinion why I decided to support them.
I always "bragged" about how Dragon Ball GT didn't turn out very good, it actually kind of sucked, and recently I also joined a DBZ forum, where I found out that many people share my opinion and hate DBGT. Of course, I wasn't surprised. However, many people around the world, not only they hate DBGT, but they also hate the DBZ live-action movie, which was released in 2009 by 20th Century Fox. Why, you ask? Because it doesn't resemble at all to the anime or the manga itself, for example: the Dragon Balls have been created by aliens and not Namekians, how Piccolo himself looked like (WEIRD), how the teenagers made fun of Goku and called him Giko, Goku actually goes to SCHOOL, and he also acts like a modern American teenager, Krillin's lack of appearance and so on). Everyone expected more, they actually expected a remake of DBZ but in live action, and instead they got rubbish.
I, for one, expected more as well, but you simply just can't make a live-action movie better than the anime or the manga itself. YOU JUST CAN'T! Period! And for the script-writers, producers, director of the movie...What can I say? I too was pissed off for having so many differences from the anime/manga, but they wanted to add something new to the story and make something a "bit" different, not a remake of it. Finally, I accepted their decision and watched it many times by now with joy, it is still Dragon Ball Z and not Mortal Combat or Street Fighter, it's Dragon Ball Z, and I still enjoyed it eventually. It's a tipical American movie, which we see all the time in theaters. Do you think the Japanese would have made a better one? Maybe, but then why wait so long? Because, they knew it will never be as good as the anime/manga Instead, the Koreans made one long ago, about 20 years ago. And the Chinese, which I haven't seen yet. I guess it's pretty good, considering the special effects they had that period of time. Some say, those movies are way better than this modern one. Can't say otherwise.
Nevertheless, people in the future will always try to make a live action-movie/film of DBZ, and who knows, maybe in time they will even succeed making a good one. And that's what these two brothers are attempting to do; a short 4-5 minute live action trailer of the Saiyan Saga. Unfortunately, for them to pull it off, they still need 5000 dollars donation. And this is where you fans come in. I truly believe, that they can actually make this work, that they can make a really exciting film, that everyone will like, an actual live-action trailer of the Saiyan Saga. Too bad though, that it's only a trailer. But this is only the beginning. Starting with them, a new era will begin, an era where technology will allow for even amateurs like me, to be able to make any live-action movie/film of an anime/manga and in the end, somewhat we will be able to succeed making better and better ones until we think that we actually did it, we actually made a genuine live-action movie of the respective anime/manga Hopefully, I too will live long enough to see it happen.
But enough said, here's a quote of the brothers:

Our Story

We are two brothers who run a small video production company in the UK. We've been Producing, Directing, Shooting and editing for our company for over five years now and have always talked about doing a Dragonball Z Fan Film. We grew up watching DBZ, and it provided many years of entertainment and enjoyment for us as we're sure it did for many of you. We, like every other DBZ fan, were sorely disappointed with Hollywood’s attempt and producing a live-action DBZ film. So this May we are set to shoot an extended live action fan trailer for the Saiyan Saga!

The trailer will be 4-5 minutes long packed full of the greatest moments and favourite characters from the Saiyan Saga. We have an absolutely amazing cast on board who you can see on the website:

www.kandkproductions.co.uk/dbz

This will be a professionally produced fan trailer made for the fans by the fans. We have professional make-up artistes and costume designers who will provide feature film quality costumes and prosthetics for all the characters that will really bring DBZ's iconic characters to life in a real and gritty way.

The Impact

If we can achieve what we have planned to do we will really have a DBZ live action film we can be proud of and that everyone can enjoy and share across the world.

What We Need & What You Get

We need $5000 to add to $5000 of our own money. This is to pay for the location, Travel, food and accommodation costs for our actors and crew (20 of us!) plus the high-quality costumes that will really make the difference when its comes to seeing your favourite DBZ characters in Live action. If we don't reach our campaign goal, then the trailer may suffer in quality as we don't have any more funds to give our-self, but if we can reach our campaign goal, we will be able to deliver a high end fan trailer that will blow your mind!

Other Ways You Can Help

Please share this campaign with your friends and family or anyone you think will want to see a Live action DBZ trailer! Thank you!

Unfortunately, this is all I can do for them; to advertise their goal. As you know, I live in Romania and the crisis is just terrible. I hardly have money to support myself. However, there are still many people, who have more than enough money for donations, to help out others than themselves, and many of them are DBZ fans. So, I'm writing for those of you, who have money, to help these two "amateur" brothers to accomplish something, which big/bigger companies failed to achieve. Thank you for your time...and your money too:)

Episode 42: Departure: Bulma's Lab- Destination: Finding Goku

No one managed to even imagine how could possibly Goku and Bardock gone missing like that? Another week passed away, and by now it was rather obvious that they were indeed in trouble. Kibitoshin then decided to go to Planet Earth 2.0 and try to find them by himself, but after a week or so, with him too no one could establish contact anymore. Not even Supreme Kai. Luckily, for everyone, Bulma already began building a ship for four persons to travel to Earth 2.0. Gohan and Trunks have already decided to go, but who would the other two persons be? Vegeta was everyone's guess at first, but he declined saying that only a clown like Kakkarott would be foolish enough to disappear like that without a trace, so he wasn't worthy enough to save. Plus, he was already busy trying to perfect his Super Saiyan 4 form with the help of his incredible heavy outfit which Bulma made 250 times heavier. Goten was also occupied with his new girlfriend so it was out of the question for him to join. He just simply refused to believe that his mighty father could get in any trouble. Uub, however, couldn't join them cause some kind of disease struck his village, so he had to stay to help out with the help of Boo and Mr. Satan, who sent his finest doctors there to make an antidote. Finally, they asked Piccolo and Khitan to join them, who accepted. But two other persons wanted to go along with them as well: PAN AND XEVO.
-Out of the question!-Videl shouted.
-But mama...-Pan started-You always said that if you knew the past years where grandpa Goku has been gone too, that you'd let me find him and join him. And now, I actually know where he is, and I believe he's really in trouble, and he needs me this time.
-Then let Piccolo and Khitan handle it along with Gohan and Trunks. And take even Xevo with you, who can hardly defend himself? This mission is not a childish game you know.
-I'm not a child anymore. I'm already 15.
-Just because you go to high school, doesn't mean you're an adult yet.
-But I'm capable of handle more than any kid of my age. I'm more capable than even a normal adult.
-This conversation ends now!-and her mother left the room.
Xevo was hiding under the bed and heard everything, when he decided to crawl out.
-Sorry, Xevo, but I guess we'll miss out all the fun this time.-Pan said sadly.
-Do you really think that your grandpa is actually in danger?
-I don't know. But I do have a bad feeling though. Nevertheless, I really wanted to go on this trip. I heard my father saying that planet is almost like "heaven."
-Let me talk to Trunks!
After a while...
-Sorry, pal...-Trunks started-But this trip might be too dangerous for you two.
-C'mon, Trunks! Have some faith in us...in me! You know that I too would die for an opportunity like this. Please, let us join you guys!
-I would have agreed in other circumstances with pleasure, but this is not a trip anymore. This has become a mission to find out whatever happened to Goku, and if it's not too late, to save him, and his dad.
-But I'm his granddaughter!-Pan cut in-Don't I have a matter to say?
-Come now, Trunks!-Xevo continued-I promise that we'll be extra careful, a give you my word, as a scientist, I will not allow myself to get distracted and focus on the mission. Plus, now I too am able to fly, thanks to your flying shoes we made together.
-But flying isn't everything you know.-Trunks replied-Hm...very well. I shall talk to Gohan and see what he has to say about this. But I'm not promising anything.
-Thanks, Trunks! You're the best!-Pan said happily.
-I have to say...you guys have really changed during your first year of high school. You are already acting like a couple of teenagers: anxious, selfish, adventurous, irrational...Brings back good memories when I was your age.-then he walked away.
Both Pan and Xevo were smiling like little devils, who were happy for convincing someone to do as they please. Trunks did convince Gohan, who convinced his wife, to take those two with them instead of Piccolo and Phitan, the last one also being excited about going, before finding out he would not be going anymore: that's when he became super pissed at Pan and Xevo for taking his place.
Few more days passed until the ship, and everyone else was ready for the big trip. They gathered at Bulma's lab, where the ship was, and everyone said good-bye to their loved ones. The trip itself to the planet would only take two weeks. But what will our heroes encounter on Earth 2.0 that not even Goku, Bardock nor Kibitoshin could handle? Are they and the planet really in danger? Is this the doing of the Saiyans? Find out on the next exciting episodes of Dragon Ball F!
